Has anyone received a crate of M67 in which the inside tin was opened?

Just curious if the commies liked to repack partially used crates and put them back into storage?

Below is a thread I started in the industry forum concerning a case I received,

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_2_320/220437_Recieved_some_Yugo_M67_ball_I_ordered_and_the_tin_had_already_been_opened_.html

The ammo is very good looking so I am not concerned, but it just seems odd that I recieved a crate that had already been opened and packed with two different lots of ammo.

I've heard of them being inspected and re-sealed but not left open. I am guessing the vendor did this. Kind of crappy if they did and marketed it as a sealed case. I would let them know about it, but if it is for shooting and not storage, i wouldn't get upset.

edit: just looked at your other thread. You meant for it to be long term storage. Even if it wasn't listed as a sealed item, that is the assumption when purchased by the community. They need to make it right somehow, but not sure how they will do that. Shipping is expensive for that item and if they pay both ways for the return and re-ship. they will be out of all their profit and then some i am betting. But, if they want to keep a good reputation, they might just do that. Good luck!

Suck!
Mine is sealed and will never see the light of day unless: revolution or zombies.
I would have demanded a return had it come to me opened!

Question does the tin keep the brass from oxidizing?

Mine was opened when I got it. I would not worry about it. It should last a long time. I have shot about 600 rounds of it. worked great!

Got mine from Aim and it is factory sealed. I would be very concerned if I bought a 'sealed tin' for long-term storage and it was opened when I got it. Sure, you can break it down into ammo cans with desiccant, but the vendor needs to clearly state if the tin has been opened, and I think there should be a price break for an opened tin equal to the price of the ammo cans you now need to store it. To me, there's also no point in paying shipping on a wood crate and opened tin. In that case, they should ship the ammo in a shipping carton and save a little weight. I can understand completely that they want to check the ammo for condition before sending, but I've never seen a sealed tin in good condition have corroded ammo inside. The question becomes how long has the ammo been exposed to humidity in the unsealed tin. Chances are you're still okay with it if you go ahead and put it into good ammo cans with desiccant now, but I would hate to be forced to give up the idea of having the sealed tin in the wood crate sitting there in a cool, dry place for the future.

I posted in the other thread but:

curious as to whether the crate was sealed shut with the wire (see photo) or were those gone too when you got it?

mine had some small pin holes in it..so i figured i might as well open it up and look at it ..it wont hurt to open it, if you keep it in climate controlled house it will be fine..even outside in the weather, the brass case is fine..
