I've seen that the Ukrainian Wolf is corrosive but has anyone shot the WPA military classic and seen if its corrosive or not?

Thanks for the heads up. I don't always clean my rifle right away and florida is pretty humid this time of year. I will save it for shtf or clean accordingly.

guess I best go clean my AK then. I just shot 100 rounds today and just put it back in the safe

sprayed some gun scrubber down the barrel and swabbed it a few times with slip2k ewl should that take care of the salts?

No, you need water to dissolve the salts.Use hot water and pour down the barrel, gastube and rinse out the carrier and bolt assembly/recoil spring. The hot water will evaporate quickly and to be sure use compressed air t remove any water in nooks and crannies. Then clean as you normally do and lube.
Water is the key to removing the salts.Cleaners wont dissolve them.Remember to clean and remove your brake and the threads as well.Dont be stingy with the water either give it a good rinsing

I wonder how they did the tests. In Hatchers Notebook, he said that the humidity had to over 50 percent before corrosion would start.

Yes, chrome lining makes it more resistant but not rust proof.

This is the stuff I was shooting.

WPA
123gr FMJ
"Made in Russia"
Lot numbers: M257 2011-12

Zero issues, 100% reliable. No signs a week after shooting that it was corrosive. Cleaned up very easily.

I have always used hoppes 9 for cleaning after corrosive ammo.

It never has failed to remove the salt residue for me. Less hassle than water.

This is the correct answer.

It amazes me all the concoctions and elaborate cleaning methods you see on the interwebz when Hoppes #9 followed by CLP is all that is needed.
