My alternative to the Tula would be the Silver Bear FMJ. Thanks for any opinions and insights. I have about 6000 rounds of it. It's good stuff. Not the best, but for hollow points that are currently imported or made here, the choices are pretty much Tula and Hornady. Silverbear is a better bullet to be honest and is really accurate in my guns, however it is FMJ. I just have to stock up on HPs b/c 60% of the time I shoot at ranges where they only allow HPs. The military surplus ammo is honestly some of the best ammunition besides the corrosive thing and they are the cheapest. If you don't NEED HPs, I'd stick to surplus and Silverbear. If you need HPs, then buy mostly Tula and some Hornady as well for more accuracy. |

I've been shooting the Silver Bear FMJ and it seems to work great. Also it has been very accurate so far. All I've been using lately. Used to shoot the surplus but and that was great to sohot also, just had to clean your rifle as soon as you were done.
