Any guesses on how long the supply of surplus ammo will last? Prices possibly double by this time next year?

I highly doubt it... 5.45 being the main Russian calliber wont dry up for a while, since they just gonna keep stamping them... and by no means it will double, just look at the prices of commercial ammo like brown bear and silver bear... its more expensive, but just marginally...

True, the Russians still make boatloads of 5.45. The only real question is will it always still be imported. The supply could be cut off with a single exec order from the President. So nobody really knows how long the supply will last.

On the same note, investing in ammo is smart in the sense that it is highly unlikely it will go down in value. I agree that double by this time next year is unlikely.
