I have been monitoring the prices for awhile, and all the major players are +/- $5-10 a case. Not much to be saved anywhere.

Seeing you're in IL I would suggest AIM Surplus. Shipping is scary fast and cheap.

Are you looking for Russian? That is corrosive...you were asking for non-corrosive. Where do you live in IL, southern IL? You do know that RGuns in Carpentersville, IL (west of O'hare) supplies just about, if not everyone with their Russian 5.45. You have to pay tax, but right now it is $260/case 2080rds. Good prices on 7.62x54R if you need it. They are also a major supplier of Nagants. I know what people say about them and their customer service, but they were always nice to me. Got to know what you are looking for and just go buy it, they aren't much for talkers who don't spend any money. Just in case you didn't know. BTW, don't worry about the corrosive stuff...just clean your guns after your shoot them, easy to take are of, and worth it in costs per bullet. Good luck!

SG is the way to go. I place all my orders through them. any questions you have they will answer within a very short time, plus the quality is outstanding! just received my order today of Silver Bear (5.45x39)nc and another 1k of 7.62! cheapest prices i have seen. |

A crate is $40 bucks cheaper to me in WA with SGAmmo. Aim's shipping is a killer when buying in bulk.

Depends. Do you want mil surplus which is corrosive? If so, get the Russian surplus from AIM or SGammo. Do you want non corrosive? If so, buy Silver Bear from those two places. Do you want non corrosive and hollow points? Buy Hornady or Tulammo from SGammo whenever they have it in stock. Hornady is pricey but great stuff. Tulammo is good and only around $200ish /1000 which for non corrosive and hollow points is cheap (nowdays).
