Even though you lightly oiled the tube, firing it would have dried it out. Add you that the carbon fouling you put in there and you have the grounds for rust. However, as you said, its a light surface rust so just clean it good and you'll be GTG.

Yeah I do guess 3 rounds or so would be plenty enough to dry the gas system out and then with the carbon being left in there for a substantial amount of time it would be a recipe for rust... Oh well, I'll just run a brush through her and oil it back up and I should be GTG again.

The rust is nothing, just clean it.
But why would you shoot at a turtle for fun, you are sick. I can understand hunting deer, duck, ect., but I have never saw the point of shooting animals like turtles, snakes, ect just for the fun of it. Poor turtle |

Maybe he ate the turtle? I ate one at a survival school and it wasn't as bad as you'd think...

Poor turtle The reason I shoot at turtles for fun is that they cost me money by eating the fish that I stock my lake with. Other than that I wouldn't shoot em unless I was gonna make a little turtle soup |
