Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - unissued parts kit???

I was looking at a few parts kits and I was wondering if it is worth paying $60-$70 more for a unissued parts kit vs. a reg parts kit because with the extra $$$ I can use is for the build. I would appreciate all the info and input esp if anyone has ever bought a unissued kit.

Back when original barrels were attached, I would say yes.  Today's kits with the ample US barrel options (sometimes installed for you) and no imported or headspaced barrels included, then I don't think it is worth it unless the kits are just beat down.

I thinks it probably worth it to get nice wood set and blue on the rest .... Im hoping thats the case with the un issued Russian I just paid for.
But im into nice original stuff and to me that's as close as it gets outside of smuggling one here somehow
