I wanted to build a 762 Krinkov and went ahead and filed a Form 1 for a receiver I have.  While waiting, I found a local SLR-104 parts kit and picked it up, forgetting that the receiver I registered was 762. Now I've sent off a Form 1 for a 5.45 receiver.  Well, my 762 sidefolder receiver was just approved.

I was originally considering using with my M92, but now I'd rather that be an underfolder to stay true to the original form (same reason I skipped the 762 krink plans).  Anything else fun I could make?  Any links to 9mm builds? An AKMSU would be cool if it wasn't a damn SF receiver.

What should I build with it?

There are lots of options I think, but its sometimes hard to picture something in your mind until you see it.  If you built it as a sidefolding krink, it would still look cool.
Here is a link to a 9mm AK build on youtube, its a 6 part series and a lot of work.  The build series is worth watching to get an idea of the pitfalls to avoid and what work is involved.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIOGzkylTbw

The 9mm video is pretty cool.

I've been looking at pictures, and the AK104 is also a cool option.

AE, I'd love to do an AKMSU, but still would need an underfolder receiver.

I really like this.  What are the unusual parts I'll be needing?  The gas tube looks short.
