I bought a threading kit from CNC warrior to do a little home threading. Yes, barrel is legal length. 16"+. I cannot get the thread starter to hold firm in the bore. It spins as I am trying to thread. I've tried to use patches, but still slips. Not sure if it the correct one for the caliber or not, but it is a pretty close fit. No wobble. My hands are in the air?????

It's not supposed to lock in, it's supposed to provide alignment to the bore. Thread the die a few turns past the bottom of the adapter so it slips into the bore but the die teeth can bite and start the thread.
