I just did out of a chunk of mahogany. After I get it stained and the PU applied it'll look pretty good I think.

Nice work, I built one out of a Maadi thumbhole stock.
Not quite the same as yours, I just copied the pattern from a surplus grip
and drilled the hole at the same angle as the factory,
used a counterbore for the bottom to get the screw to sit flush.

I did my 74 in Walnut. I can't find the pic anymore in the AK pic thread. It was on page 9 of the Polish pic thread. I guess Image shack has a time limit or for some reason my computer isn't showing it anymore.
