Love the top cover and HK style charging handle. Is it non-reciprocating?

That's not a PDW, that's a portable, semi-auto flash-bang generator...

Yes, but I'd need a stock to copy. I'm still looking. I put up a bunch of WTB posts on different forums for one. Fingers crossed. I've got a mill, a lathe and a welder, how about you? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Your post is a very discrete ad. Not allowed. DID I MISS SOMETHING? I think he's referring to the business card, but that's only if you are afiliated with them. Nope, not affiliated with them all. I just installed the product on my prototype because I thought it would be cool. Now if I was accused of being affiliated with kingarmory, I'd be guilty. |

AK PDW? Yeah it's called a Krink. AKA
M-92 M-85 AKS-74U etc.... |

This is very different. Besides that, PDW is usually used to describe an ultra-compact rifle. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

The only thing separating this from those rifles mentioned are a non-reciprocating charging handle and HK style sights. |

It looks shorter than even a 74U This is true - it's shorter. but the very idea of the "Krink" was to be a PDW for a mechanised soldier (tanker). The pistol/rifle the OP is making looks like one of those Iraqi chop jobs, that is good for scaring the shit out of the user and the recipient of the projectile with an enormous fireball that will blinb both, or whoever isn't dead, for about 5 minutes, at least. |

[#29]
Right. So maybe 1.5" difference? I'm still not seeing what makes this
Quoted:very different. View Quote Don't get me wrong though, its still hella cool with the HK features. |

Ok Armor, when I saw the thread title I admit morbid curiosity.....but seeing your mock up, and then the pistol caliber.....I am impressed. That pistol caliber would make one hella cool SBR.
Nice work. R |

Took the AK PDW out for another round of testing after finishing the welding on it today. The rounds eject about 10 feet when fired.
It's not broke in yet, but I'll dump a few hundred rounds through it this weekend before media blast and paint. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrIY...ature=youtu.be I also need to relieve the side pressure on the right side safety selector and file the mag catch a little. It sticks on a couple of my Yugo BHO mags. (No big deal, it's a 10 minute job.) |

[#40]
Very cool.
Have any cycling problems when you are not bracing the gun (i.e. firing from the hip)? I'm guessing by shortening the gas piston its less of a problem? Prior to putting a booster on my PAP it wouldn't cycle well if you didn't apply ample force in the forward direction. |

I still want the 9mm AK that uses the Sterling mags...You still plan on making kits/parts and having them available this summer?

Chamber a dummy round and take a picture from the muzzle end, I'm curious...

Did I miss where you said why the HK-style folding charging handle was dropped?

It took me around 2 month's of tinkering in my spare time to piece it together. I didn't want it to be a guide rod build, so it took me some time to figure out all the measurement to be able to make the weapon this compact and still use a standard recoil assembly. I do have a short test video I did before painting the weapon, but can't seem to load the video here? Go to youtube and type in AK PDW TEST FIRE #2 to see test video. |
