Ok first off I'm good with tool use to work in a tool and die shop still love working with metal. What I'd like to know is this what kind of tools do I need to make this receiver work? It says that it needs to be drilled and pin. Now since I know pretty much nothing about AK's maybe someone could help me out? I'd just like to know would I have to spend a lot in tools to get this job done? Now I'm willing to spend some money on tools like getting a drill press because I can use it for other things also I know a mill would work best but finding one that does not cost twice of what it would cost to buy two AK's would be hard last time I looked. Thanks for the advice and yes I looked at the tacked posts but most of the links are down.

What kind of "blank" receiver is it? If it's an 80% then you're going to need more than a drill press.

I assumed that's what it would be. Those receivers will need to have the rails welded in and the receiver will need to be heat treated before use. Here's a jig that will allow you to use a drill press to accurately place the holes:

I've built one it's easy but they are soft and you will have to heat treat them to make them last for a while. Its alittle easier than a full flat build butttt not really.
