What is a good kit to start with? I have been looking at various different websites just wanted a little input from people who have actually built some AK's before. Thanks.

Check out AKbuilder.com, I built a khyber pass ak kit from him and it went really well. He headspaces and pins all of the components on the new barrel making your job easy. Just like building an ak back in the day with the origonal barrel, you only have to rivet the trunions in the receiver and press the barrel back in the trunion. I used a NDS receiver for my build, very nice part.

Alot of peps have good kits the simplest is Curtis kits at AKbuilder.com then apex then BMA has some and last gunbroker has a few...I like to find all parts separately so it takes me longer, these things are not as challenging as before...
