THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I recently got a 5.45 saiga. I just purchased a tapco g2 single hook trigger. I have a grip and buttstock already.

I know I will also need:

A bullet guide
Trigger guard
Plastic buttons to fill the old rivet holes
Paint to touch up

What else am I missing?

Are you converting the front end?

Probably not. I know for sure I am doing nothing with the fsb/muzzle attachment.

The handguard/gas tube, maybe. But it looks like I have to spend 50+ dollars on the stupid little handguard retaining ring that doesn't require fsb removal, right?

If your pistol grip & stock are US made your good to go from what you've said, if you install a threaded front sight or thread the barrel you'll need one more US part.

How do I determine if I need a flat trunion or round trunion bullet guide?

Look at the trunnion where the bullet guide is normally installed. If it has a flat milled out area you need a flat, if it has a concave shape you need a round.

I'm assuming that I have a round trunion. Sorry for the dumb question, I just don't want to order the wrong part.

You can get a lot of parts from Blackthorne They have a rep as having poor customer service and products but I'll leave that for you to decide

Did the build this weekend. Noticed a part that I was missing; the trigger group retaining plate.
