DIY Homemade Slide Fire (bumpfire) stock for AK-47


Materials Required:
1. Tapco Inrafuse Stock $49.00
2. Two 'L' brackets $2.50
3. Screws $0.50
4. Can of matte black spray paint $2.00

1. Mount Intrafuse Stock to your AK-47

2. Remove the Stock Retaining Latch. Rotate the nut on the latch until you see the slot, there is a roll pin in this slot, tap out the roll pin, then unscrew the nut. The latch will now slide off.

3. Now that you have the latch off file down the edges (so that when assembled the latch can be pulled down and rotated sideways holding the latch open, thus allowing the stock to slide freely)

4. Reassemble the latch (don't for get to put the roll pin back in) and check the function as described above.

5. Remove rear sling swivel

6. Bend 'L' Bracket as seen in photo (using a vise to bend works best)

7. Line up the hole in the 'L' Bracket with sling swivel hole in the stock and screw together.

8. Drill hole in pistol grip, and screw 'L' Bracket to pistol grip (remove the original pistol grip screw and nut, the idea is to make the pistol grip and buttstock into one piece that slides freely back and forth on the Buffer Tube aka. stock extension).

9. cut a piece of an 'L' Bracket for use as a finger rest, screw it into the side of the pistol grip.

10. Spray paint to make it look good and protect the steel 'L' Bracket.
It is now ready to fire. If you wish to not bumpfire, all you've got to do is rotate the Stock Retaining latch around and let it spring back into place (this will lock up the stock so that you can shoot regularly).

Notice the Stock Retaining latch is rotated side ways in the open position (ready to bumpfire).

I've put 2 30rd Mags trough it, cycled great no hiccups!
I just built it today, it only took about 10min to make.

what does the L bracket do? Act as a spring?

I get it. Pistol grip is attached to the L bracket instead of the receiver.

Check your brake out before you fire it again...I think it starting rotating after a few shots...

Yeah it is one of those thread addapters for the old WASR's. I guess the constant vibrations from rapid fire was enough to rotate the brake a 1/4 turn. I put some red locktite on it, and that did the trick.

I was wondering if anyone would notice.

I want to try to make one using a SLR-95 stock.

Wouldn't you need to get an approval from the BATF before assembly or use like the slide fire guys did?
That small amount of bump fire can be done with just a little trigger work. (0.00 out of pocket)
I have learned to do that much with a stock FCG in a light recoiling AK74.

Worked triggers can fail. This set up is removable and with out adjusting the stock retainer, unable to fast fire. Your idea might / could be misinterpreted as an altered firearm.

it will do mag dumps, but the idea is to shoot short burst (That is what they taught us in the US Army).
Regular bumpfire is far less controllable (and hard to do controlled burst), but if you want to mag dump from the hip you can not beat regular bumpfire.

be careful with doing trigger jobs to bumpfire (i don't think that is so much bumpfire, as it is Slamfire 'which is dangerous').

It is not an altered firearm if it still takes one pull of the trigger to fire one round, it just takes less pressure & less movement to pull the trigger. It is the same thing you do when you put a light competition trigger in an AR.
