Anyone ever use Hoppes #9 in a sonic cleaner?

I understand not to use heat, but what damage could be done to stainless barrels or slides, chrome plated barrels, slide finish?

This is not the best idea.
Might be good or not for the parts to be cleaned, but you will spread toxic microparticles in the air. And you will breath this toxic particles. Hopes 9 is not to be used as a solvent to clean your trachea and air ways while inhalating its microparticles dispersed in the rooms air.
I tell you this as an MD that loves shooting.

M Pro7 would be safer and better. I know, I've done it.
