When I opened the package I was expecting the worst you know? Everything is in spec, it isn't flimsy and the finish is top notch. I've ditched my Wheeler Multi tool, and got rid of my tapco castle nut wrench. Looks like it is cast iron, but the casting doesn't look like it was cheaply done. Usually I avoid chinese tools like the plague. This one gets a pass.

I was going to get a magpul to go with my BEV Block, but I think I just saved myself $50.

It looks pretty generic and I'm sure there are a bajillion copies of it out there. Usually they are flimsy pieces of stamped sheet metal.

Has anyone else picked one up? looks like the reviews are favorable.

Cheapy Wrench
Every now and then your order something expecting it to suck, or only last for a few builds. But then you get pleasantly surprised. I figured I didn't have much to loose for $18 with free shipping, plus amazon has a great return policy.

I think I bought the same one some months back (on eBay on a lark, must be a factory in Guangzhe just churning them out for everyone) -- I have to admit I was surprised as well. Feels solid enough you could use it as a club.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like it's solid and overbuilt.

Mine would not fit the FH. Few minutes with a file worked wonders.

I bought and have used a Tapco intrafuse at multi tool for 10+ builds. The wheeler one was tearing off barrel nut teeth left and right. I have yet to slip on the barrel nut with this one. I hate Tapco as much as the next guy but this wrench was worth every penny.

I've broken two of those. You should have purchased the Magpul wrench.

Just curious, what broke on it?

As far as barrel nuts I mainly use Matrix, Midwest Industries, or Faxon.

Did it break when installing/removing milspec nuts?

This looks like a gen1 ncstar wrench.  I had a similar one years ago.
