Specifically triggers/hammers/springs/detents. Basically all the small parts.

I've been organizing some of spare parts and noticed that a spare trigger disconnector I have (I believe its a p-tac trigger disconnector) is starting to show signs of rust. It was bone dry when I took the parts out of the zip lock.

I sorted all my parts and sprayed a bunch of CLP into each little zip lock baggie and put them away. For bags with springs/detents I didn't do anything. Do you guys think this will be sufficient?

I keep all my spare parts in marked, zip lock bags, inside a padded 50 Caliber Ammo Can.

Edit:  I use 2'X2" zip lock bags for each small part, and label them.  I too shoot a little lube - MPro-7 in each baggie.  .

I do have those clear plastic fishing tackle gear  trays .   that seems OK  to store all the small parts  ,   and the rest go into plastic bins.   I just don't leave them in the dark

If you are in western WA, especially the Puget sound area, you should lube the parts (ex. light brushing with CPL), place part in zip lock with air removed (collapse the bag), place the bag in a plastic organizing box (optional and subjective), place box/bag in a sealed container (ex. a good quality mil-spec ammo box with a good/uncut seal), and before you close the lid put some desiccant in the ammo box.

You should be fine doing as you are doing, or following the other recommendations in this thread. Many will use VCI paper with good results  One example off ebay

Did you know the parts often breed? Quite often, they'll grow into complete rifles (when given time)...

Another for clear tackle boxes. Also use the clear plastic shoe boxes for larger stuff like stocks, grips, handguards etc...

Clear plastic bead boxes I got at the craft store.
I use a label maker to label each compartment, and I have a container for springs, bolt parts, lower parts, et etc.

They stack nice and are clear so I can see what the parts are at a glance.

I have enough spare small parts to assemble around 100 more lowers and upper (without the barrel and charging handle)

I went crazy on buying ar parts and was given a few boxes of stuff when a family friend died.

I use an adjustable divider storage box and flex-a-top containers form US Plastic.

I leave the spare parts in their small zip loc bag.  I do open it up and squirt some RemOil on the parts.  Then I put the small parts bags in an empty plastic coffee container, write on the outside with a sharpie to ID the gun the parts are for and set it on the shelf.  Just filled one up the other day with spare parts for my CZ P09 and P07.  Got one for AR small parts.  One for M1 Garand small parts.

Mine are left in the bags in which they were shipped until needed.  The small mesh pockets on my safe door are perfect for this and don't work for shit with much else.

No corrosion problems, live on the Texas Gulf Coast so it's plenty humid.

I prefer to spend my time obsessing over the layout of my ammo fort
