I have an AR15 upper and the ejection port cover will not close.

It is not the spring. What I found out was that the actual cover does not clear the opening in the upper. This was most likely know as I purchased this upper as a BLEM.

My question is, can I ignore this, as I do not shoot that often? Will ignoring this just make my AR dirty more quickly?

Any ideas or comments are welcome.

B.

Pics?
If the cover is hitting on a corner or something it might be time to get a file and take a couple strokes.
