The pen looks nifty. Anybody use this stuff?

For what?

You are going to use these to touch up scratched finishes on guns you are selling?  Sounds a bit shady.

I have the pen. PRO- It's easy to apply and will dry flat.  CON- If applying to a part that gets use it will rub off.

ridiculous. do you repaint your hammers and wrenches? the gun is a tool not a status symbol or an extension of your being. if you don't want a tool to get banged up, don't use it.

I'd hate to see what your car looks like.

i think i'm going to try the pen on a 10/22 that I put a few light scratches on my pic rail when installing burris zee rings... god bless america those were tight (read: not fitting, had to do some shadetree mechanics stuff to get them on). the rifle/scope conbo is a deram to shoot, but that was a struggle.

The pen is NOT aluma black. It's a PAINT touch up. It is not designed to hold up to solvents. Do yourself a favor and just get the Alumablack. It's a TREATMENT (not a coating) that oxidizes the aluminum to black (permanent). It's just as easy. Just clean the surface, dip a Q-tip in and dab the spot. Wait a few minutes, then wipe off with water. Done. There's no buildup (since it's not a paint of coating) so you can do it more times if you think it needs it.
