So i just got a Ruger MKII and a Winchester 270 .22LR pump rifle from a family member. I don't think they have been cleaned in ages. I'm sure i could take both items apart and clean them, but i'd rather have a gunsmith look everything over before i take over the maintenance.

any thoughts on cost/lead time on this?

thanks gang

For any used gun look for rust or broken parts. For your 22s, I'd not worry to have a smith look them over, it's a waste of money IMHO.

Find some CLP and wipe them out. Ruger MK IIs are great pistols. I've been shooting mine for better than 20 years with no issues. I bet that Winchester is over built too.

Clean them up and go shooting!
