THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT They are the standard Coyote Brown, round kit - but I'm not exactly sure what the complete contents are supposed to be. (Looks like I'm missing the toothbrush - maybe the threaded unit that allows me to join the short and long cables etc.) One kit is pretty complete, while the other is missing a lot of the stuff. I contacted Otis, and asked if they could provide me with a parts list of the components that shipped with that particular kit, gave them the NSN - but they've not responded at all. You'd think they would, since I'd be inclined to order the missing parts from them - but they've been silent on the issue. Apparently, there's a paper that comes with these kits, that lists the contents, and has user instructions. I'm not so interested in the instructions, but could somebody make a copy, scan, or post the parts list for me? Again, this is for the "M16/M4" kit - not the multiple caliber kits that are out there. Thanks. |

One reason is that the tan case kits are military issue, wasn't meant for civilians. Some of the guys just sell them off or give them away. Hope I'm wrong though, I bought the 750 set and would like to know i can still replace parts if i have too. Their website has pics and description of items.

Sorry they have not responded to you.
I picked up my first Otis kit at a surplus store (cheap). I knew it was missing parts (empty compartments) What I did was look on their website for my kit, compared what I had to what they listed and then I ordered my missing parts from them here I think most of the kits have the same parts, just the multi-caliber kits have additional brushes. The only kit I have that actually has all the paperwork is the Deluxe Military Cleaning System. Tan round pouch, but has brushes for 5.56, 7.62, 9mm, 45cal, and 12ga and optics. I can scan the component list and send it to you if you think it will help. One hint though, if you are not familiar with using their patches, you should probably read though the instructions on their website. You can get one jammed in your barrel pretty easily. |

Hey wshbrngr,
I appreciate the offer to scan the multi-cal parts list. I actually found a guy on a local forum that made a copy for me. Now I've got to submit my order to Otis - hopefully they'll respond this time. |
