The blue iosso Nyflex fiber brushes seem very stiff. Can one damage a barrel with a nylon brush?

No
I have been using them exclusively for a few years now. Did away with all my bronze brushes.

I'm a big fan of the Iosso brushes, they are the only brushes to ever touch my ar and I've have great luck with them. I know that brass vs. nylon doesn't matter, since chrome/stainless is harder material than both so neither one can hurt your barrel. I just feel better with nylon, and they cost the same as brass brushes.
