Complete overkill on anything but a horribly neglected dismally fouled bore.
Worst case scenario brush and way too aggressive for routine cleaning. |

Stick with the regular brushes. |

They are nice for shotguns with smooth bores, but not needed for a rifle unless rusted or way abused.

I used them on old milsurp's with plenty of solvent for cleaning up really bad bores and they work pretty good for that.

Nice for lead fouling in handguns. If you shoot .22lr through a fast twist 5.56 barrel it might be very useful.

NEVER use a stainless steel brush in the bore of a rifle. Some of those are harder than some rifle bores! You can really damage the rifling.

I use them on dirty shotgun barrels.
