Seriously? Just use a regular solvent and a good lube designed for firearms and you'll be OK.

We do these threads on favorite lubes/homebrewed lubes about once a week.
Pretty much they tend to get a bit ugly because everyone has their favorite and gets upset when somebody goes a different way My experience from hanging out at my clubs range and hanging out at a friends gunshop is when guys have lube related issues they are either useing none at all or very little on something like a AR which wants to run on the wet side . I don't really see any problems with the type of oil so use what you desire. I find it simple and easy to use a Clean,Lube,Protect type product for everyday cleaning and lubeing so that is what I do, use whatever oil works for you. The other side of the coin is folks who glob the heck out of their magaines and blow back actions . I have found this just holds the grit and dirt and gums things up, For mags ,10/22's, and Rimfire conversions I get better use out of dry lubes or silicone spray. To rieview: use what works for you |

You do realize your are using a solvent that removes oil to add to your oil don't you??? |
