Could someone take the time and update the links on page 1? There doesn't seem to be too many that are still working.

You skipped the very important part of "After removing the firing pin retaining pin, turn the bolt carrier on its rear to cause the firing pin to drop loose"

People depend on this manual!

thank you very much for this detailed disassembly.
it gave me the confidence to disassemble my S&W sport, their manual had b&w dim and cloudy pictures.

Seems like a lot of noobs here so I'll ask, I guess my 9mm just right carbine isn't truly an AR15. Would you know if this field strip would work on it?

I have zero experience with 9mm versions, so I don't know. Sorry.

Kind of new here and wondering what I am doing wrong.
The only pic I see is the one with the bolt, and the firing pin being removed after key is pulled out.

I just checked and the pictures weren't in my cache, and they all load for me.

Thanks for taking the time to post all the pictures and descriptions. It has helped me show my young boys exactly what needs to be done and helps them remember the steps when the help me clean my ARs.

Not having had anything to do with AR's since I left the USAF in 1978, I really appreciate this post. It's clear and concise with no clutter.

Thank you!
