Not a fan of bending the end of the gas tube inside the receiver, since it can make removing the gas tube at a later date out of the channel a bitch isntead. Plus depending on where the bend is, can either cause binding of it to the carrier key, or weaken the gas tube isntead.
Hence if you use the carrier with key (no bolt), when you are installing the gas tube and block to begin with to check for alignemnt as well, you should not need to bend the end of the tube to start with.
So, if you have the top spine void, or float tube nuts top channel correctly indexed with the upper receiver channel to start with (so the end of the tube can float in both voids correctly), then with the gas block correctly indexed against the barrel gas block and one of the set screws lightly tightened, can do a quick check on the alignment of the tube to carrier key at the same time. If the tube needs to be tweaked, easy enough to pull and the block to tweak it then, before you finalize the install of the gas block with loctite to the set allen screws.
If you have standard clip on hand guard, then just pull them to tweak the gas tube over the center of the barrel isntead.
