Hey guys sorry, Dano523 explained how to use the caliper to measure the pin protrusion distance. But If anyone has the spec of the pin and bolt I would really appreciate it if you could post it here. Thanks.

Don't over complicate it (read too many different manufacturers in the mix, and you never sure what dimensions they are holding from the stop collar to the tip of the FP).
Just mic the from the face of the bolt to the bottom of the channel with the caliper, and either get a reading or zero it out,
Then insert the FP into the bolt all the way against the tail and get another reading for the FP protrusion.
Ideal protrusion will be .032", can go up to .036 if needed, and by either spin filing the stop collar back to increase the FP protrusion, or spin sanding the tip to shorten it, you can correct and maintain a FP (up to the point that the tip craters or shatters, and it time for a new FP). Also, double check the tail of the Bolt for any burs, and clean such if found before you start to take readings.
About the only time you want call a FP too much work/defective, is if it is bent or the larger forward portion of it milled too large, and you will feel this as you are trying to seat the FP all the way into the channel.
