I just cut a DPMS style lower, I have not come across any Armalite style lowers that are 80.

What am I missing? I only see DPMS pattern on their site even though they say now shipping AR-10 yesterday.

Hey, the "cool kids" say it's okay to call them all "AR-10".
If it's a Colt, it's a copy of an original ArmaLite.

I am not LARRYG36.

Racing is life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

If your AR10 is marked Geneseo, IL, it's still an AR10 no matter what some people say.

What they should of done is label it as a AR-308, and not the AR-10 since that is technically the original Armalite version...

I have full prints for both lowers, and yes there is about a .120" difference between the two versions in length and
in the Interior magwell dims...

I have seen a few 80% AR-10 (original patterns) lowers floating around...unfortunately, they are generally more expensive
to produce and not as "popular" as the DPMS/SR-25 pattern or has less Industry support and/or harder to find parts...

Yeah you think KE Arms would be familiar with the naming convention if they are in the business.

There wouldnt be any demand for an original pattern 1960s AR-10 lower.
There are virtually no parts available to build one. The early AR10s are for collectors only.

But I think a modern Armalite 10A pattern 80% lower would be popular.
This place has an Armalite 10B 80% lower available, and they are working on a 10A version:

If you look at their picture thread they have an Armalite AR-10a style 80% its just not for sale yet. There are several other vendors also selling AR-10A pattern 80%s . Which are nothing more than Original Ar-10 / KAC SR-25 style lowers. The vendor i bought from uses 7075 vs 6061 for their lower billets.

+1 , IIRC the original (modern) spec. calls for 7075-T6 Aluminum forging (Billet would also work).
