Does anyone offer a complete machining service to covert an AR-10B to accept old waffle/pmags?

I hate to go through the effort to sell what I have and find new one.

Thanks

I have never really looked at the differences... can anyone advise if an upper from an AR-10B would work on an AR-10A? If so, it would be cheap enough to just buy a new stripped lower. I just never felt the need to switch as I have plenty of B mags.

EDIT - OK the upper on an AR-10B will not work on an AR-10A...

So, I am tagging for curiosity but I have a dozen or so AR-10B mags so no chance on me converting...

Generally it can't be easily done as the B model has a magwell angled at 14 degrees from center and the M14
mag is tapered from front to back while the waffles are designed for zero degrees and are rectangular. Interestingly
the second real AR10A had an angled magwell and the pic indicaates there was at least one waffle mag made.
(Very bottom receiver.)

FAQ #31

I saw that, but I also saw posts where people mill out the upper to work with an "A" lower. It looks like converting the lower is the problem.

Thanks
