THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I'm researching 18"-20" barrels for my AR10A. The Rainier Arms "Select" barrel looks good but I hesitate because the description on the web site does not specify Armalite or DPMS. (this one- http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=2691 ) Their "Ultra Match" barrels do specify Armalite or DPMS but also run about $100 more. Any thoughts? Has anyone used their "Select" barrel? Thanks! |

I ordered the Rainer 20" Ultra Match barrel. Just waiting on a gas tube so I can get it installed. I'll advise how it works out.

This got me a bit curious so I decided to look into it.

That's what I determined as well even though Rainier told me the Select barrel would work in DPMS and Armalite. I ordered the Ultra Match barrel. It went together very nicely and I was able to shoot several sub MOA groups while breaking it in and dialing in the scope.
