I just bought a AramaLite M-15 with a flat top and a 16" barrel. Any suggestions about a good optic?

Oh my....that could turn out to be a very long list.....First...congrats on your purchase...but as for the scope...may I suggest popping in on the optic section, there are many suggestions for optics...biggest is going to be what do you want to spend....but take a look there and post up your question....I think that one gets asked daily.....LOL...so feel free.

On the M-15, I have the alostyr 1913 mid-length handguards and the flip-ups are the mag-puls that came on the 15-22. I now have a removable carry handle and front post. The 15-22 is awesome, have 500 rounds through it with no problems.

I just picked up a M15A4 a couple months ago. It shoots well and no failures of any kind. I haven't had a "black rifle" since I sold my Colt back in '84,but this felt very familiar.I think I'll keep this one around for a while. I must have caught an Armalitr bug...I bought a new AR-10t last week.
The M-15 needs optics,I tthink I'm going with the Aimpoint M4s. It's just got a cheap holo red dot on it now.

For someone who is gonna just be target shooting chasing off some of the intruders self defense and if needed to put my life in the hands of this gun i could depend on it?

I would and do....if it came to it...either one of my ArmaLites would do the job and not falter....I know of others that will say the same...as for the A4...yes it would work...they have a 20" barrel...where the A4 C has the 16"...just something to consider....you will get better distance with the A4, but for in close...the Carbine is more suited....but that is a decision you will have to make....

The carbine on the far right in my picture, posted earlier, with the suppressor on it is my HD rifle.

I trust my life to it.

I have 5 M15s and they all run like tops.

If it's a Colt, it's a copy of an original ArmaLite.

I am not LARRYG36.

Racing is life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

If your AR10 is marked Geneseo, IL, it's still an AR10 no matter what some people say.

I picked up a new Aimpoint comp M4 and test drove it this weekend.WOW awesome is all I can say.I'm getting some BUIS for it ,just don't know if I want to spend for the Troy or go with the cheaper Magpul. I really dont like the thought of plastic sights......but look at the gun.

Well I don't know about the Troy sights....but I use the MI sights and they are great.....might I suggest something like mine....The SPLP for the rear and MI now has a new sight for the AR-15 railed gas block that folds back...you could use the standard one...and reverse it to lay back but if you put a railed hand guard on it...you would have to fold it forward.....I myself will getting one of the new ones shortly.....

Check your settings at facebook. I copied and pasted your URL and it says you must log in to view this page.

Maybe you have your setting set to "private" instead of "public".
