I have done a good bit of building and currently have a couple that I have in the que. I really don't know which direction to go with the cerakoting. I have done single colors of FDE, Patriot Brown, OD Green, Burnt Bronze, Titanium, Graphite, Gun Metal Blue, Highlander Kryptek, ODG/Black/Stainless Kryptek, and Stainless. I have been thinking about an Vietnam Tiger Stripe on the Core 15 build. The parts are listed below. Got any advice?

Tactical Machining DTOM Upper/Lower
18" 223 Wylde SS Barrel
15" Seekins FF Handguard
Magpul ACL-S Stock-Black
Magpul Grip/Trigger Guard/Mag -Black
Nikon 4-12 Scope
Aero Percision Ultralight mount

Core 15 Upper/Lower
16" A2 Mid-length SS Barrel
Magpul MOE Handguard-Black
Magpul CTR-Black
Magpul Grip/Trigger Guard/Mag-Black
Probably an Aimpoint RD

I recently used the new Duracoat Blue on an O/U barrel refinish and all I can say is Wow does it look good. I used the gloss black color of Durablue. It made me want to try it on my next AR build. The surface is really slick and smooth and seems to be a very hard surface.

tankless:  If you favor the military look, consider the new Coyote Brown color being adopted by US Forces for all of its small arms, boots and web gear.  Ideally for this color choice, all exterior surfaces of an AR-15 would be painted (Ceracote, Duracote, etc.) the same.

The new Sig 320 pistol, for example, will be produced with both slide and frame in this color, which is similar to the older desert tan color, but darker.  It is not the same as the civilian Flat Dark Earth.  See example below. - CW

You already have a lot of "tactical" colors. Why not try something flashy for a real change? Do a Stars-and-Stripes theme, blood splatter, zombie biohazard, nuke symbol, or any other bright color theme that tickles your fancy.

Anyway, you asked for advice, and this is mine: Go bold or go home.

I'll keep that in mind. I may go with an orange or purple.
