All assembled and headspaced. Just waiting on a test drive/sighting in.

New Mega Arms forged stripped lower, $110 including shipping, tax, transfer fee.
Like new BCM Upper receiver, $75 shipped
New BCM lightweight midlength barrel assembly $206 shipped
PSA Premium BCG, new $65 shipped
Colt CH with LMT latch (free), let say $10
GG&G old BUIS, $30
Standard midlength handguard, $5 (from my junk parts box)
New 7075 buffer tube assembly, buffer/spring, $30
USGI LPK with Magpul trigger guard and CTR stock (used), $70
Sling, got it from my junk parts box, let say $10

Grand total of: $611.  Yes, nowadays a new factory entry AR is priced at the $500+/- range but I feel good with my rifle with all the parts that I accumulated over time for this "throw around the bush/truck rifle/etc..." AR.

Awesome how much you can do for so little these days. I put together an a2 copy for about 600, and I could've done better than that if I really tried.

That's a quality build for how much you have in it

Nice!
I just finished a $358.99 build- It is very similar to yours
PSA Blem complete lower- $129.99- Free shipping
Midway complete Anderson A2 upper $229.00- Free shipping

I added a JP reduced power spring kit and a Joe Bob's adjustable grip screw for another $31.00 and did a 5 minute trigger job to yield a 3.5# avg trigger pull.

Very nicely done there my friend.

I might have to push the envelop and try to build one of the cheapest M4 configuration and see how it will hold up. It's going to be sub $400 for sure. Well, I already have a $35 Anderson lower and saw Anderson LPK between $35 - $40. Get some used super basic stock kit and might have a complete lower assembly for less than $100. Top that off with a basic $250 M4 upper and hit the range with a $350 rifle. Life is good now for us with BRD.

Black Rifle Disease is the only disease I'm okay with acquiring.

BTW, nice score on the Colt lower. If you don't mind me asking, where'd you find it and what did it cost you?

Sweet. And don't fret about the price. I've overpaid for many things just because I wanted them and they were right on front of me. No big deal.

I'd be in for 5 at that price right now, those are by far my favorite slings.

I paid $20 for that sling & the Viking VTAC padded sling so I value it at $10 a piece (the VTAC sling with qd is definitely more expensive). Those were purchased privately.

1. The BCM flash comps is part of the:

New BCM lightweight midlength barrel assembly $206 shipped. Bought from the EE. If you search, you can find there is a member selling multiple barrel assemblies for $199 each shipped (I paid the 3% paypal fee, came out to $206). He might still have a few available.

2. MOE furniture is part of the:

USGI LPK with Magpul trigger guard and CTR stock (used), $70.  I bought this package (including the MOE pistol grip) from the EE (used). You can search and see my purchase.

So, all items are accounted for in the final price (nothing is free).
