DSA had bare forgings in their Firearms News ad a while back... 0% for $25 if I remember right. That's a little less than even the cheapest non-blem 80% you can usually find.

Of course for the artwork, but i need to build a jig to index the lowers too.

For only $20 more you can just buy the 80% and then actually finish it into a working firearm if you want. Heck you could just buy a 100%er for $45 and use it to build your jig. |

Are you planning on using the laser on anodized finished lowers, or just bare alum?
Not sure, but it would likely make a difference and you'd want your sample to be the same as what your goal is |

For just testing your burn times and program get a chunk of 7075 from online metals.
For testing alignment and finished product 80% is the way to go. Find a vendor with blems and buy a bunch. |
