Well I have been wanting to do it for a very long time and I have finally started collecting parts. I went to my local gun store over the weekend to buy a M&P 15 Sport II and they were sold out and kinda rude to be honest. So I decided to just build one I have ordered a lot so far but still need quite a bit.


This is what I have so far.

Anderson stripped lower,

SAA AR-15 Mil-Spec Collapsing Stock Assembly,

CMMG Lower parts kit,

Magpul MOE Stock,

Magpul MOE-K2 grip,

Magpul 30rd Pmag (2x),

BCM Upper Receiver,

Magpul MOE Trigger guard,

Magpul MOE M-LOK Hand Guard,

Magpul ASAP QD,

Magpul® Back-Up Sight,


Total so far is just under $475. Going to try and buy the rest of the parts I need for under $500. Selling my p938 tomorrow to help finish the build.


Any thoughts or suggestions on the parts I still need?

Does your BCM upper have a barrel, BCG, charging handle, etc?

Do you have a link to the BCM upper you are looking at? Even the least expensive uppers from BCM like this ONE run about $440 without BCG and Charging Handle.

I went the same route as you but used a Aero Precision lower and a 16" BCM Mid-Length upper complete. BCM makes great products and in my opinion are hard to beat when it comes to quality for what you pay for!

Opps sorry about that guess I should have listed it. Its a stripped upper for cheap so I need need a lot to finish it.

I was kinda short on funds and didnt want to wait until I had the extra cash to finish the build so I went cheap on the rest of the parts I needed.

PSA 16" 1:7 Nitride Freedom complete upper (probably going to take the parts I need from his and use the BCM stripped upper)

PSA AR-15/5.56 Nickel Boron Bolt Carrier Group

ALG Defense Quality Mil-Spec Trigger (QMS)

BCMGUNFIGHTER Charging Handle

Also ordered a Bushnell TRS-25 from amazon.
