I would like an 18 or 20 inch. Any recommendations around the $300 mark?

I have a medium contour mid length 16" stainless barrel from Odin Works. Shoots great. I believe they offer an 18" as well.

Criterion 18" melonited SS .223 wylde match grade barrel going into my current build.  Supposed to be the real deal but haven't completed it yet.  I got it for around 315.  Ballistic Advantage .223 wylde SS ones are supposed to be guaranteed sub MOA with match grade ammo and can be found under 200 dollars including a pinned gas block.  Probably gonna be picking one of those up for my wife's build coming up. Nothing wrong with Green Mountain barrels either

I have a Ballistics Advantage stainless .223 Wylde Hanson profile barrel. Haven't shot it yet so I won't speak to the performance of it but I'll will say the choice was between the Larue and the BA barrel and I went with the BA because it came with a pinned gas block. From all my research I came across a lot of reports that Larue barrels are over gassed so I was going to have to pay up for the $120 adjustable gas block by SLR that fit the pre demppled holes. The only thing I will add tho is that the Larue barrel has a black coating until the BA but the BA is bead blasted so at least it isn't bright and shiny. Sorry for any typos, it's late

it's hard to argue against the value of the recommendations already listed, but I'll throw another option into the mix:
http://columbiariverarms.com/product/production-223-5-56-18-standard-mid-length/

This barrel would normally be around $300+ from the same manufacturer as a custom barrel, but these are mass runs of a basic format without options that they sell for volume pricing at $205.

Really like my BA 18" Wylde SPR barrel.  Especially for the price.

I have 2 larue and one ba 18" I can attest those are incredibly accurate and under 300. WOA is another brand that gets good reviews. Another that I am wanting to try is black hole weaponry. They run about 340 but are amazing for a couple shooters I know. I have personally seen them run less than moa at our 200 yard range. And the wait time is usually a little longer on the barrel.

I just bought an air gauged Wilson Arms 18" heavy fluted from JSE surplus for $210. It puts 52gr Matchkings into one hole. Cheap midway dogtown bullets well under an inch.  I debated this or a Larue for a little more but I'm glad I bought the Wilson as it  shoots great.

+1  A stainless BA 18" Wylde barrel is the basis of my 3x9 scoped AR build -- very pleased; excellent quality vs. cost value.

Another vote for White Oak.  My stainless 18" 223 Wylde barrel is a tack driver.
