I recently was given a barrel, the person I got it from couldn't remember the twist rate. It is not marked anywhere on the barrel. No markings whatsoever. How do I go about identifying what twist rate it is? Thanks for any help.

It's easy with a cleaning rod, tape measure and a piece of tape. Make a flag on the cleaning rod with the tape and see how many inches until you get a full revolution, pushing slightly ahead of the chamber. Give ya a pretty good idea. Two revolutions would give a more accurate idea of twist.
