Does anyone know who manufacturers or sells the M16 lower parts kit with circle S Logo on some of the parts? I just bought a LPK for my M16 and bought it under the pretense that it was Colt M16 lower parts kit from a reputable dealer who does have a close relationship with Colt. Just wondering where this lower parts kit came from as I am sure it is not Colt marked, as the lower parts in my original M16 are marked. Maybe stock was low and substituted, but I really wanted original Colt parts to put back in. Any input on this would be helpful, as well as where to buy Colt M16 Lower parts kits. Yes, I am a legally licensed owner of one so no backlash on a perfectly legal question. And I am not sure if it is even illegal to own a M16 lower parts kit if you don't own a legal M16, so I do believe the question is mute, not to get off topic as I am more interested in getting quality LPK for my M16 right now.

The S in the circle is called Schmidt Tooling. They make the blanks that the companies then machine to their specs. Schmidt is generally regarded as the best for small parts manufacturing and can be found in Colt, Geissele, Daniel defense, Spikes, BCM, and palmetto premium lower parts kits.
