I have a new build I am currently doing.  My lower is complete, and I used a E3 Omega Poly Lower ( I know I know everyone has their opinion on poly ) but I am wanting to do a very lightweight build.

I am looking around to complete my lightweight build, and would like the most bang for my buck without purchasing a fully completed upper.  I would like to buy the pieces separately.  what are my best options for lightweight upper receivers, BCG, barrels, etc?

The best bang for your buck if you don't want to spend a whole bunch of money at the same time is to buy a upper receiver assembly

- AERO no forward assist upper
- Faxon pencil barrel and Faxon lightweight BCG
- Parallax Tactical PXTreme Adjustable Super Light Low-profile Steel Gas Block
- VG6 Gamma muzzle
- Strike Industries ARCH Extended Latch Charging Handle
- some $90 alu rail below 10 ounces
- $15 gas tube

Should come out at $700

I bet you do

@OP: while you are at it.. throw in the stainless gas tube from Faxton. I always try to match upper / lower and on the other side barrel / BCG / tube / block from the same company. PS: dump that poly for a AERO lower

@Faxon: we REALLY need an adjustable gas block

I'm having a tough time locating the aero no FA upper.

I'm also having a tough time finding the faxon pencil barrel and lightweight bcg that isn't $500 on its own.
