I'm building an upper with a 18" barrel and thought it would be cool to have a riffle buttstock. I don't want the A2 style but something more modern looking. Any suggestions?

I just put the Luth on my 20" rifle - haven't had a chance to take it to the range though.

I like that skull atom and battle arms stocks. They are kinda minimalist wich Inthink looks nice and sleek.  The battle arms is cool but is very expensive for what it is.  There is also an Ace skeleton stock wich I think is along the lines of what I'm looking for.

Can't help you with a riffle stock, for a rifle stock might try this one:

I had one, it was nice.

I still prefer the traditional stock, however.

I cannot recommend the Magpul MOE strongly enough.  I have 9 or 10 of these and are the only stock I'll use when I want a fixed stock.

My next build is 18 also and I'm with the Magpul crowd. I know it may look a little simplistic but to me(and I'm sure others as well) that's the beauty of it.  Now if you want all the extras they offer that too, but you will pay for it.

My next futuristic (rather from a long time ago in a galaxy far far away...) build that is pending will probably have the Magpul MOE stock.

I haven't found anything else with that kind of blocky futuristic look that doesn't cost a fortune.  Most people go towards the A2 or a telescoping so it isn't really common to see either.

And I can get it in gray (paint black and weather it to show the gray like some kind of metal)
