Finished my build a few months ago (sorry no pics)
Put about 500 round thru it during a few range trips. .
This weekend put another 300 or so thru it and tuned the 2A bcg with adj gas on carrier..love it.
The Faxon pencil barrel is also accurate.
Cheap wolf gold is doing 1.25"@100yds

Using 1-4 optic at this time, 100-300yds is boring on steel, at 400 gotta start paying attention to the wind, but easy to score hits.
At 500 in yesterdays wind, I got my butt kicked.
I have gotta spend some time learning to read wind.
All shooting was done prone.

Really like my new build !

Wow, that's really good.  I have yet to shoot my first build - waiting on optic parts.  I sure hope my Faxon Pencil will shoot 1.25" Wolf Gold groups.

With a lil more magnification and a benchrest and better ammo, it will do even more.
I'm using a Wilson Combat ttu-h2 trigger unit, which is 4.5-5lb duty trigger.
The Faxon barrel is great, even after getting warmed up.

Well, I will have to take some.

It sounds like a nice build, what does it weigh?

We used a Faxon 16 inch pencil barrel on my fiancée's build.
We took it out last weekend and it worked great. Hers rifle weights in at 5lbs 10oz.

Without optics right about 5lbs

I have a Faxon 16" pencil barrel I have on my first AR that was assembled a few weeks ago. Comes in a bit over 6lbs.
