I know, I know, not truly an AR, but we don't have a Build It Yourself section for SCRs, just a picture thread.  So, humor me.

I've been working on this project for a few months.  Had a saved search in Ebay for "1100 straight stock" and "1100 English stock" that finally paid off:

The install went smoothly.  Had to open up the first 1/2" or so of the recoil tube opening from 11/16" to 13/16" to fit the SCR's recoil tube connection and then the back end of the recoil tube opening to get my 19mm socket in and out, so that I could tighten the recoil tube.  Other than that, just needed some fine tuning to fit the receiver.

Initially, I just put my AP COP upper on it, because it was what I had available:

However, it was a bit front-heavy.  Started working on a lightweight upper:

Specs are:
2A Armament Balios Lite Upper
2A Armament 12" BL Rail (first run)
Rainier Arms 16" Intermediate - Rock Creek blank
Battle Arms Development Ti Gas Block
V Seven Thread Protector
V Seven Lightweight Port Door Cover
V Seven Port Door Rod
V Seven Charging Handle

Took a fine-tooth saw to the stock, shortening it 1" and then installed a thin LimbSaver (still finishing up the "grind to fit" part):

I also installed a Burris TAC30 in a set of Medium rings.

Very handy rifle so far.  I may switch to a 15" BL Rail, since the B.A.D. gas block sticks out of the 12" a little.

Looks nice. I really like the wood stock on it.

Oh man that is stunning!!

The more I look at it the stronger I get an urge to build a side charging 6.8 SPC version.

Nice gat.  Why would you care that the gas block is outside of the rail?

Did you have any issues w/ the recoil spring in the stock channel?
 Nvm, answered in the OP.

Very nice!  I'm glad folks in Occupied States are sticking up their middle finger to their oppressive governments.

Perhaps just a little bit of OCD.  Half an inch longer and it would  look like I did it on purpose; half an inch shorter and it would be inside the rail.  Plus, I'm not crazy about the finish on the Rainier Arms barrel.  There's part of me that wants to use this barrel on a different build and replace it with a mid-length one (possibly a 16" AR15 Performance 6.8 SPCII Scout Profile.)

Stolen image, I like the fore end, but your english cut stock has a bit more appeal.

Boyds offering is nice too.

I am ignorant in all this SCR stuff.  How did you attach the stock to the lower?

The rear of the SCR lower is, in essence, a Remington 1100 shotgun:

There are a few minor differences (some noted in my first post), but fitting an 1100 stock doesn't take too much work.

I prefer the first one and may do something similar.  Likely, I'll just buy/make wood M-Lock covers that match the stock.  Subtle, as opposed to full-on wood.

Swapped out the 11.75" for a 15" (more on this below) and added Meggido natural (wood grain) M-Lok covers::

Color on panels is closer than it appears in the pic above.  It's more like (taken with flash on):

And, of course, the Glory shot of my MusketAR::

Black Sheep Warrior was awesome to deal with.  In a big order, one small piece was switched, so he immediately sent me a replacement PLUS several other pieces to play with staining/coloring to get an even better match (haven't yet.)  Great guy!

I'm thinking about selling the 15" 2A SR and picking up a 13" rail with 7 M-Lok slots from someone else (Troy makes one, but I want to see who else does.)  That way, I can use the long cover between two of 1 1/2 slot covers that actually curve around the one next to it (like the front-most one.)  It's actually part of a kit meant for hand stops, but I like the way it looks here.

Note: the Inforce WML is a temporary install on Pic-rail piece.  If I keep a light on this long-term, I'll switch to a small one that rides on the upper 45.
