Greetings folks, assembling a lower that will be going on a 20" A2 styled rifle.  I have an A1 stock assembly with an older Steel buffer tube, so trying to source out a good 'standard' buffer and spring.  Is there any reason to not look for one of the older buffers with the "orange" tip?

How about the spring, any older GI style ones or just 'spring' for the newer Chrome Silicon ones?  This build is not strictly retro, going after a style but upgrading it with newer components.

Thoughts?

A standard rifle length spring will work just fine.
