Well, I have narrowed it down to two different 300 barrels. I wanted a 16" stainless steel barrel with a carbine length gas system. Here are the two I'm trying to decide between, any one barrel better than the other?

Here you go.....SOTA is well known in the .300 world.  I have a 16" with a C gas (I bought it two years ago) and it is a tack driver.  They also have a stainless that is finished black if you want that.

Who makes their barrels?

Got my barrel today, the gas port hole seems very large. It measures approximately .125". My other 300 Blk out barrel has a gas port hole of approx .098", but would not cycle the next round until I changed the stock carbine buffer to an H2 buffer.  The bigger hole will obviously allow more gas through the gas tube and hopefully cycle w/out any issues. I may use an adjustable gas block, just to see if I can tune it to where is needs the least amount of gas to function properly. The finish isn't the greatest by any means, you can see and feel the machining marks in the barrel. If you look close enough at the second pic, you can see them. There is a nick in the front of the barrel as well, this can be seen in the first pic. I don't want to send the barrel back, because I don't want to wait for another one.
