I am just about finished with my AR pistol build with one exception, the front sight post assembly (sight/detent/spring). I hate the thought of paying 6 bucks or more in shipping for $10 in parts. Are there any suppliers that will ship at an economical rate?

I buy small parts on ebay or Amazon. Check for free shipping.

Primary Arms is where I get spares if I need something specific in a hurry. Amazon and PSA have "kits" of springs and things. Don't know Amazons quality.

Amazon or Rock River arms isn't bad. White Oak Armament for somethings too.

White Oak Armament

I can't say enough good stuff about these guys. I lost a roll pin while helping a friend swap a gas block. I ordered them late Thursday night and the parts were in my mailbox Monday afternoon (in NJ). They shipped in an envelope so the shipping was next to nothing. Great company with excellent shipping.

Citizens Armory used to be the place to go. For quite sometime now their inventory is almost always out of stock.

Are they slowly going out of business ?

I ordered a new stainless steel mid length gas tube on Monday from Amazon.  Seller was Rousch Sports in Austin, Tx.  I paid $11.57, free shipping, no tax.  Item was shipped out later that afternoon.  I received it in the mail today, direct from seller via USPS First Class Mail, comes with two roll pins.

These truly are the days.

I have ordered from them before. Fast service and shipping. I ordered a carbine length tube and later a low profile gas block. Happy with both.

They run their business like a family, and their customer service is awesome.  They kept me in the loop the entire way through one of my upper builds, and are always available on the phone.

My go to source on small parts. They always have what I need at a fair price. Plus I can order in larger numbers to fill up my parts bin so that when I am working on something late at night, make a mistake and a dentent gets launched into orbit I can just grab another.
