For some time now i have been looking for a barrel and cant seem to find one... hoping someone can point me in a good direction.
option 1-
16 in, 5.56 or 223 wylde chamber, mid length gas, 1 in 8 twist, chrome lined, mid weight profile or heavier(preferred), 4140 OR 4150 steel
option 2-

Have you checked out the ARFCom store?  I just did a build with their M4 1/7 14.7 inch barrel I had the A2 flash hider welded to for "16 OAL.  Have not run it yet, but should be GTG.

Primary Arms, Spikes Tactical, Rainier Arms, Runner Runner Guns, DSG arms, etc all have good options.  Black Hole Weaponry also may be a good choice.

Rainier has nice barrels as well that may be a good start.  Look for the thumbnail link at the top of the board.

Just get a DD 1:7.  It's everything but twist rate, and 7 twist ain't gonna shoot anything any worse than 8.  I shoot 40's around 1.5" @ 200 yards out of a 7 twist tube, and each projectile makes a single hole in the paper.  7 twist isn't gonna spin them so fast they disintegrate like dumb old fudds like to claim on the internets.

Has an 18" midlength wylde HBAR 1:8 SST Black Nitride.  Probably more accurate than chrome and will hold up as well or better

I have one of their 20" national match weight barrels on my 600 yd rifle, Shoots better than I can.

Hard to beat a Green Mountain in that configuration, bought two of these and both are great.
