I'm looking at doing an AR w/ the grey Magpul grip and stock.   It'll probably have one of the UTG slim pro forends, and that has me thinking about painting the UTG portion.   I've seen some discussion of using Alumahyde from Brownells, and am thinking about doing that, but am not sure how much it would affect the rails.  Is there much concern w/ things not fitting after you paint the rail?  Is it a good idea to mask it off?
