so i have bought my lower and my upper is on the way, both spikes tactical, my question is about the sights. i have a fixed front sight on my upper and have been looking at flip up rear sights, how does mounting a scope on it work with back up iron sights. i have looked at the magpuls flip up sights and other things like that and recently spoke to a friend who went with the a2 carry handle and then mounted a scope to the top of that, is this a specific type of carry handle? does anyone have any experience with this or have any suggestions of what to look at i want to be able to mount optics to it and still have my backup iron sights. any info helps thanks

depends. do you want a scope with magnification or just a red dot sight? if you want a magnifying scope, then you would have to do canted iron sights or a quick detach on the scope or use elevated/raised scope mounts. if you are only using a red dot sight, then do you want 'co-witness'? where you can see the iron sights AND the red dot together and you can set the irons for one distance and the red dot for another. MANY choices. you might want to elaborate on the intended use of the rifle.
