I painted my own with Duracoat. It's pretty easy to do yourself.

I am currently caught up in the buying frenzy and need a few parts to complete this one, but it will eventually be all FDE. This is a Quentin-Laser 80% lower finished with Norrels Moly Resin. It has an Ace stock and Magpul grip. This material is really easy to apply & bake. It is also really resistant to all chemicals.

I'm having a lower, upper and buffer tube cerakoted FDE. I'll be doing a Noveske NSR in FDE too once I get one in the right length.
I'll post pictures then.

Duracoat is easy to use with their spray kits and works fine. That is the only way to match colors on components from different manufacturers. My newest AR build will get a two tone FDE Duracoat scheme later this spring.

I did mine with Rustoleum, probably going to strip it. Not sure.

Throwing it out there, anyone uses powdercoating? I have access to it on the cheap and was considering the lower and handguard.
